TONITE - Tuesday October 24
House of Voodoo Presents!
Seraphim Shock - http://www.seraphimshock.com
Having once been described as the "The Ultimate Halloween Band",
Seraphim Shock
is a Denver-based project that is the brainchild of singer/songwriter/
guitarist/programmer
Charles Edward. In a world full of manufactured bands that do what
they're told and chase
the record labels "flavor of the week", Seraphim Shock stands proud
with it's middle finger
raised! From the bands early Goth roots to the Hard Rock'n hybrid
that it is today, Seraphim
Shock continues to captivate people from all walks of life with it's
infectious hooks and dark
overtones. The quality of S.S. works speak for themselves and one
needs only to look at the
reviews they have garnered over the years, and not to mention but the
band is HOT!! ans SEXY!!
on stage and off. DO NOT MISS this !!!!
Black Snake Moan - http://www.blacksnakemoan.com
Formed out of the sandstorm of the San Francisco music scene, singer
Paige Lawrence,
guitarist Aki Sasaki, drummer Gavin Price and bassist Badger came
together in the autumn
months of 2005 to create Black Snake Moan. With a wealth of combined
experience,
the musical bond formed quickly and the band moved from rehearsal to
live performance
within a few short months. By June of 2006, the band’s live show was
turning heads and
drawing more and more fans into the fray. Sonically, Black Snake Moan
begins where
their influences leave off. Tool, Nine Inch Nails, Dead Can Dance and
a host of other
industrial, metal, and gothic influences assert themselves throughout
Black Snake Moan’s
2005 CD Tension, as well as onstage. The CD captures the sound of the
band’s live
performances while embracing the concept of a modern, three-
dimensional musical
experience. Adding another dimension to the album is a hint of
indigenous, tribal-style
percussion that is punctuated with samples and synth-based melodies.
With its liberal
use of keyboards and samples, as well as its solid rock/metal
foundation, Tension is a
powerful combination of danceability and aggressivity.
