Why: In celebration of the Bay Area as a center for small, alternative
circuses please join us for a very rare occasion, a crescendo of
interactive performance art, fabulous food, art installations and live
music. LuciD DreAm LouNge will be creating a spectacular show of your
wildest dreams....Moving well beyond the infamous Cirque du Soleil we
invite you to experience an entire story of fantastically painted
creatures serving you your imagination: dancing dolls, fine foods, belly
dancing goddesses, shocking rituals, mimes and clowns of a different
breed, magick that grabs your mind. Enjoy the card playing devils from
vegas, speakeasy bars with many a rare treat, puppets that play with your
inner child, spiders and pirates swinging from the rafters, fire dancers
directly from the dark side of the sun, caberet style piano players, jazz
bands, accordion playing mutants and musicians from all realms to
tantalize your 
ear.

The Story: Just like Alice did in Wonderland, Through The key Hole we will
go for one night only, July 29th Saturday.: 
“When I looked through the key hole in to the attic upon all the
forgotten memories they began to twist and twitch, crawling from the dust
and shadows to relive their memories. Dare I go in? As if in some
spell..... the key hole becomes my size. beckoning me in through a tunnel
of toys... child hood joys lost in time. So many things and stories have
been stored in this place. Shadows and nightmares have found 
their place amongst dolls, dresses and dreams forgotten. There's something
about magick that's been left to stagnate and pool. Something I can't
quite put my finger on. It brings mystery and power to those things that
go bump in the shadows, the reason that any sane child would not go in the
attic. 
Well they say that I was never sane, not quite right in the head you
know......I just cant help my self there are pieces of me calling from the
dark in here. As I creep to the edge of the hall of toys I am met by quite
a site...I never knew the attic looked quite this good at night. It seems
as if there is something on the edge of happening . Gauzy webs hang from
the ceiling swinging gently in the breeze. 
Dolls, trinkets, old clocks, bones, parasols, treasure trunks and evening
gowns sit on shelves and hang off the stairs covered in dust with a slight
bit of decay chewing at them. 
I wonder if I just saw something move? Paintings leak their colors on to
the walls and floor suggesting that it might just crawl right up to you
and ask which way the bathroom is. Small worlds lit up in the dark, filled
with taxidermy visions of circus freaks, animals and little eyeball people
from the far flung reaches of the mind stowed away for inquiring souls to
find. My grand father was a collector, a sailor of sorts, that traveled
far and wide in search of things that would prove the existence of other
realms. I can never resist a dig through his treasure...As I take this all
in, the show begins.
